The name says it all for the 2013 CCM Extreme Flex line. Over 2,600 hours of engineering and testing, combined with CCM’s decades of legendary performance and LeFevre’s cutting-edge design techniques have lead to the CCM Extreme Flex, powered by LeFevre.
The Extreme Flex 500 Single Break Leg Pads are both extremely flexible in the boot and have a good amount of torsional flex in the shin area. This allows the goalie to more easily load his or her push leg in a butterfly recovery as well as easily direct rebounds to the corner. The wider knee stack landing surface helps keep goalies balanced in the butterfly. The face of the pad is layered in dual-density foam that absorbs more of the puck’s kinetic energy, thus giving the goalie closer rebounds and a greater sense of puck control after the shot.
The 90-degree boot angle of the Extreme Flex 500 leg pads is both flat and soft. The knee and calf landings are bindingless to provide maximum durability. The pads have a flat medial (inside) edge, which means that the goalie is more stable, flush to the ice and in control when in the butterfly. The knee lock Velcro can attach to the outside of the knee cradle or to the outside calf wrap.
The 500 model is not customizable but is available in several unique custom colors.
