How it Works
CutShots balls have several multi-colored shapes on them that are placed on the ball using a Geodesic Dome pattern. The shapes allow pool players to easily visualize and remember locations on the object and cue ball that they need to hit. All players have to do is to (1) find the spot, (2) find the spot, and (3) shift the cue and (4) sink the shot.
Step One
Players locate the central location (exact point) that would sink the object ball into the pocket and remember that location by using the 4 colored shapes as a visual memory aid. That location is the central location on the equator that directly aligns with the center of the pocket and is called spot 1.
Step Two
The player then moves to the cue ball and locates the location that mirrors spot 1’s location. That location is the same distance that spot 1 is from the edge of the ball; however, from the opposite side.
Step Three
After finding that location, the player then shifts the cue directly from that spot to the center of the cue ball.
Step Four
Shoot: Take the shot from the center The result is that the cue ball will strike the object ball at the right angle, and the object ball will roll into the pocket. That is due to a pool concept called equal and opposite.
That is it. With the CutShots system, all you have to do is to find the spots on the object and cue ball, side-shift the cue, and then take the shot.
