The Rubber Wide Angle Lens Hood is a screw-in collapsible rubber lens hood that is specifically designed to be used with wide-angle lenses. It can remain on the lens permanently, because it only lengthens the lens minutely in its collapsed state, requiring hardly any additional space in the gadget bag.
Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, one also gets the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.

For Digital & Video Camera items, the return/exchange period is 14-days from receipt. No returns will be accepted on film, opened batteries, opened memory cards, computer software or opened memory card readers. All returns require a return authorization number from 17th Street Photo. Please call us for an authorization number. It is always the customer's responsibility to send any exchanges/returns back to us freight prepaid. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Shipping refunds for delayed carrier delivery are subject to the terms of the carrier.
All exchanged/returned merchandise must be in original factory condition, including all packaging materials, inserts and manuals, warranty cards (not filled-out) and all accessories. Please do not tape or write anything on the item or the package.  We reserve the right to refuse any such returns.
