    Lot of 35 Mermaid Purses
    These are the natural egg cases from a skate or a stingray. After the stingray hatches, these can sometimes be found washed up on beaches after strong storms.
    All of these egg cases were collected on Florida east coast beaches. Some in better condition than others. Each have an opening where the animal emerged.
    When wet they are leathery and pliable, although fragile.
