Antique Hyatt Limited Edition 1776-1976 Bicentennial Billiard Balls RARE PLAYABLE.
IN GREAT CONDITION!
Made by the Albany Hyatt Billiard Ball Company in Albany NY. They had been making the billiard balls for Brunswick since 1945. In 1970 the company business had been slowing down badly for several years. When they reorganized the company in 1976, they decided to introduce this new set and design, to celebrate our countries 200th anniversary.
Instead of the traditional darts, or notches on the two sides of the circles on the balls, they put a star, which also helped to distinguish it from the Brunswick sets
Included in the set is the unique Liberty Bell Cue Ball not found in any other set ever made
The company had such limited distribution at that time, and the price on the balls was very expensive, not many sets were sold. The same holds true today. Most pool halls or people will buy the lesser quality brand for 0 to 0, rather than spend 0 on the premium set of Brunswick centennial balls. Which is why these sets are so rare, and hard to find, and command a premium price. Few are out there. It's the last, great ball, and set, made by this great company, making it a must for any serious ball collector or individual with a classic table.
