W27E #4      This is a nice mako shark jaw.  These are all natural so they might have some imperfections such as missing teeth or small hole in the cartilage that are sometimes filled in with putty which in no way takes away from the look of the item. This is a by product of the food fishing industry and was not killed for its jaws.  Every part of the shark is used. This display is approx. 14 x 10".  This does come with a nice wood Easel for you to display your shark jaw on.  The easel is approx. 11x 15 x 8". This would make a great display for educational purposes, surf decor, or just to add to your collection.

The shortfin mako shark, also known as the blue pointer or bonito shark, is a large mackerel shark. It is commonly referred to as the mako shark, as is the longfin mako shark. The shortfin mako can reach a size of 4 m in length.
The U.S Fish and Wildlife Department and U.S Customs have cleared these for legal entry into the U.S.  They were obtained from the Taiwan fishing industry and are not protected or endangered.
