    Description

This is a circa 1970 Western Mountaineering Down expedition bag.  It was used on two separate successful ascents of 7,000 meter peaks.  It is a regular length bag.  It has fairly wide dimensions to accommodate all the down.  It is warm down to -40, but I listed it at a conservative -20 degrees F.  It weighs 4 pounds.  It is very lofty and has just this week been washed and dried carefully with Nikwax down soap.  The bag is in good shape.  Some of the nylon on the draft collar (inside)  has aged (slightly discolored), but that is really the only flaw.  I checked all the baffles and they are complete.
This bag probably has 600 weight down in it; heavier than what is used now days, but more durable.  As far as I can tell, this bag has lost virtually none of its loft over time.  It has always been stored in a storage bag— never stored compacted.  Shipping will be as cheap as possible— so please wait to pay until I can send an invoice; the Ebay shipping cost shown on the auction page may be somewhat high.
